I qualified in 1996 after doing my training at paws Veterinary Health Centre and working there for 11 years. While most of the work was small animals the nurses also got to do some of the large animal procedures in this mixed practice. I also did a year working nights at an emergency critical care centre in Coventry. This gave me invaluable experience in critical care of animals. I came to Amicus in May 2004 and I am enjoying the challenge of exotic nursing and surgery. I am married and have two girls, Harriet born in 1998 and Charlotte born in 1999. Their both enjoy riding and have their own ponies. Consequently my spare time and weekends are taken up taking them to pony club events and horse shows.
